EzBrickz — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information EzBrickz collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using EzBrickz, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who We Are

EzBrickz ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application for LEGO® collectors. EzBrickz is currently operated by an individual doing business as "EzBrickz." For any privacy question or request, contact us at ezbrickz23@gmail.com.

2. Age Requirement

EzBrickz is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at ezbrickz23@gmail.com.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information, most of which you provide directly when you create an account and use the app:

Collection data	Sets and minifigures you own, condition, purchase price you enter, wishlist, missing parts

Messages	Direct messages, group messages, offers, and trade details you exchange with other users
Brickston (AI) input	Text and images you send to the Brickston AI assistant
Social graph	Who you follow, group memberships, and similar interactions
Technical data	Basic technical information necessary to operate the app (e.g., authentication tokens managed by our backend provider)

We do not collect your precise device location. Any location shown in the marketplace (city, state, country) is information you type in yourself for a listing.

4. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and profile;
To operate core features: inventory, feed, comments, groups, chat, and the marketplace;
To power Brickston's AI responses when you choose to use it;
To enable safety features such as reporting and blocking;
To respond to your requests and provide support;
To keep EzBrickz secure and to prevent fraud and abuse;
To comply with legal obligations.

5. Brickston and Third-Party AI Processing

Brickston is an AI assistant. When you send a message or image to Brickston, that text and image are transmitted to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) so that a response can be generated. This processing is necessary to provide the feature.

EzBrickz does not store your Brickston conversation history on our servers — it is discarded after your session. The third-party AI provider processes your input under its own terms and privacy practices. Brickston's responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate; do not rely on them as your only source for important decisions.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:

With other users: Your profile, posts, listings, and messages are visible to the users you interact with or share them with, according to your in-app privacy settings.
With service providers that run the app: We use Supabase to host our database, storage, and authentication. Your data is stored on their infrastructure so the app can function.
With the AI provider: As described in Section 5, Brickston input is processed by Anthropic.
For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.

We query third-party catalog providers (such as Rebrickable and Brickset) to display LEGO catalog data. We only request catalog information from them; we do not send them your personal data.

7. Your Privacy Choices and Controls

Profile visibility: You can control what parts of your profile (inventory, wishlist, stats, listings, posts) are visible to others in Settings.
Blocking and reporting: You can block users and report content at any time.
Access and correction: You can view and edit your profile information in the app.
Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from Settings → Delete Account. See Section 8.

8. Data Deletion and Retention

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data — including your profile, inventory, wishlists, posts and their photos, and profile photo — from our systems. To preserve the experience of other users, content that is part of a shared interaction (for example, messages in a conversation or a completed transaction record) may be retained but is disassociated from you and shown as coming from a deleted user. Listings you created are removed from the marketplace.

We retain other information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures, including access controls at the database level, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Users

EzBrickz may store and process your information on servers located in countries other than your own. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of EzBrickz after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
